If you're new to Top Hat, READ THIS before you Sign Up & Pay This review is specific to our experience with the Milton Top Hat program. We are new to Top Hat this year and were given no information by the Top Hat Milton staff prior to signing up and paying, other than that practices would be Monday and Wednesday, and practices and games would be played out of King's Ridge. Given the reputation for accelerating youth in the sport, I assumed Top Hat would be an organized and professionally run program. However, within the first few weeks, we received unprofessional communications from both the coaching staff and a volunteer assistant regarding expectations and commitments of participation that were never previously communicated to us (or other new families). We reached out to the Director Mike Gailey who listened to our concerns and admitted he was challenged with building a new Milton U10 team and developing a new coach formerly from the Buckhead program. He offered to allow us to discontinue with the program, but he encouraged us to give him some time to make the program better. We decided to give him a chance, however, lack of communications and disorganization ensued over the following months, missing practices that weren't posted to the team app, and only one game was played at KR (away games were 45-90 minutes away). We circled back with Mike Gailey informing him that the program doesn't work for us, and he is now refusing to take accountability for his program's lack of organization and communications regarding participation requirements, and denying prior conversations with us. He is leaning on a policy that physical and financial commitments are for a full year, unless there is a medical issue, because a player is taking away a spot from another interested individual, which also isn't applicable since they don't even have enough girls to play a game and had to merge two teams U10 and U12 on weekends to try to have enough players for a game. So be forewarned that regardless of this organization's ability to professionally manage the program and effectively communicate with families, Top Hat will not take any accountability for their lapses and will refuse to allow you to discontinue your participation, physically or financially.

Tophat provides excellent learning experience to its players. The fields are cut clean and are in top shape every day. Although it is a flood plain, Tophat manages its location very well and exceeds many peoples expectations of a soccer field.
