This place is gold compared to some neighboring hospitals' food options. The service is fast, the place is clean, there is ample room to sit, the food is consistent and quality. The food vendor seem professional. And most important it is fairly priced and they don't seem to run out of food by 12:30PM. I leave my hospital to eat here weekly in nice weather.

I stopped here for coffee at starbucks. They didn't take cash. They didn't have most of the things I asked for in terms of breakfast sandwiches. I don't believe they take the original gold card either. That part I could be wrong as I do believe I had to use a credit card. People behind the counter her there because they need the job. At least that's the impression I get.

I attended a presentation by LLS in the student center West. Nice facilities; temperature was well controlled; and (this is an odd but nice observation) the stairs to the second level were a nice height, so people with bad knees can easily mount them. The campus itself? While very well maintained, very clean and nicely decorated with pretty gardens, was very confusing to navigate. I parked in the 1100 S Wolcott parking facility and found it quite confusing find the Student Center West building. Google Maps was of no help. I ended up asking a passerby for help and he pointed me to the correct building. I have 5 points because that can't be helped by UIC. I suggest that detailed maps be included with notifications of meetings and events.

The food court is dismal, but I'm giving five stars because the world's best barber, Maria, is in the basement! I've been getting my hair cut by her for 10 years and she has yet to give me a bad cut! Go Maria!
