This is the largest market in New York City, and offers fresh products delivered in from farms located north of New York State, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. The prices are based on neighborhood so it’s not cheap, but you can get satisfying items. I recommend ”the apple cider donuts”! Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 8:00-18:00

Wonderful open air market akin to those in Europe. Wide selection of fresh organic veggies, fruits, flowers & plants. Also other vendors selling honey, fresh baked goods, seafood, meats, etc. Prices are high on some items while others are fair. A bustling place with lots of people shopping or just strolling through with dogs. You can grab a coffee & sit inside park right next to it. Trains station literally located few feet away.

Maybe as a tourist you are not interested in visiting a market, but I would advise you to think twice and maybe change your mind. It's a great experience going to a open air market in NYC.
