Like most thrift stores, you have to come often and have time to search to find something worth while. This Uptown is much like others in that there is a surplus of fast fashion brands and styles from a decade ago. Definitely a good place for basics like tank tops, small tees etc. Sometimes there are some vintage finds. Currently their 80% off stamped tags sale is going on. Honestly I think that is the best time to visit UC. I’m really happy with the deal I got for the amount of items I purchased especially since I sold a few items. (PS 10% off does not apply apparently..). The selling process was quick and while browsing, before I knew it my name is called. The dressing room attendant was very friendly and helpful! As someone who is on a weight loss journey and trying to find her style I like that UC is so close so I can buy clothes that fit me on a budget and then can also sell clothes when it gets too big or its not my style anymore.

I just went in there today and I have never seen such awful customer service. I went to the counter and all the employees looked at me and then just continued their conversation about their group chat. I was standing there awkwardly for at least 30 seconds until one the employees finally asked what was up. I also saw the two girls going through clothes laughing at everyone’s clothes and saying snarky comments (the girl with curly red hair and the dyed red hair). When I went to go get my money the girl with dyed red hair did not say A SINGLE WORD to me. She just handed me the paper to sign and my cash. She didn’t tell me where my clothes were or what they even took. I said thank you good bye and she said absolutely nothing the entire exchange. It was truly the weirdest thing I’ve experienced in customer service. They also made everyone stay in the store while they were going through clothes (I don’t know why because they sent me a text when it was ready) so everyone was just wondering around aimlessly because there was no seating. The only semi-nice employee in there was the guy. I felt like just my presence and every customer was annoying them. Truly such a weird experience and I don’t think if I’ll be back. Management needs to train these employees on how to at least have some basic respect and this is coming from a girl around there age too.

Sold me a counterfeit coach bag. This location sold me a fake coach bag, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. I should have checked more carefully when purchasing, but once I got it home and checked it for authenticity, it was clearly a fake. The style number does not match the style of the bag, the zippers are not YKK zippers, the hang tag is not the same quality as other coach hang tags. It seems they may have KNOWN it could be counterfeit too as it was priced lower than it should have been compared to other designer bags they had.

Fun and stylish shop! My first time walking in was very refreshing and made me want to browse everything. The staff is very friendly and helpful, giving me full attention immediately. I sold some clothing for store credit (I found the cutest sweater, jacket and shoes!) and it was so fast and easy. Not to mention fantastic prices for top quality fashion. Overall a great experience!

I enjoyed the very neat and organized appearance of the store. My visit to Uotown Cheapskate was fir the purpose of selling some clothes. I received a very fair offer. I appreciate that items that were not needed will be donated to a worthy cause, which eased my burden of finding and delivering to an appropriate charity. While there in the store, I couldn't help but to browse the selections and left with cash in my pocket and two pairs of pants. Awesome experience that will result in me being a repeat customer for both selling and for purchasing!
