This review is for Urban Kayaks weekly camp for kids. My 11-year-old daughter absolutely loved the kayaking and paddleboarding camp. When I asked her to rank it from 1-to-10, she said it was an 11. She got to kayak the river and all the way to the Adler Planetarium. The counselors were fantastic according to my daughter! The only suggestion I have is to post a sample schedule on the website. I debated on sending her because l booked her last minute and there wasn’t a ton of information. I will definitely recommend it to other parents!

A cool way to see the city from the water. It was a very casual experience - they verified my reservation, sent me over to a quick safety video, and then sent me on my way. I would describe some of the staff as happy and chill and some of the staff as disinterested and curt. The kayaking itself is great - not a problem for beginners. I recommend either wearing swim shorts / swimsuit or bringing a change of clothes, because my shorts were soaked afterward from the already-wet kayak I was assigned. Next time, I'd try the river kayaking location, bring my own kayak, or rent a boat with friends. I can see how this would be a great experience for those that really like kayaking, SUP, or want to do something with their pets.

We tried Urban Kayaks for the first time this summer and absolutely love it! Not just the experience but the company and the people as well. This review is for the lake front location specifically, there is another location on the river. The lake front location is so much fun, so relaxing and has some of the most gorgeous views of the city. The staff is very professional and clean, especially during this crazy pandemic time. They clean the boats and life jackets every time. If you have a dog this is also an extremely fun dog-friendly activity. Highly recommend! We tried it once and even ended up getting a season pass.
