I must have either been very unlucky, or something is wrong with this place. TLDR: I went there four times and each time there was at least one issue. The last one was so bad that I am definitely not coming back and my hands will take a few days to heal. Now the longer version: My first visit was okay but when my nails were done, there was a visible gap between the gel polish and my skin (the part where the nail grows from), so it looked as if it was already slightly grown out. This resulted in me needing a new manicure in less than two weeks. When I came back, I asked to get the gel polish all the way next to the skin without a gap. They looked at me as if I was saying something offensive, but I got quite pretty nails, except I was cut during cuticle trimming. I even bled a little. Yesterday, I went for the third time. I again asked for "no gap", again felt as if I offended the manicurist. I was cut AGAIN. When I came home, I noticed that there are odd wavy bubbles underneath my gel polish on four fingers! I could even move them around underneath the gel. So today I called and asked to have it fixed. So I had to make another trip after a long day at work. The woman again seemed almost angry with me. She grabbed my hands and started removing the gel with an electric file while also running it all over my skin!! It hurt. Then she took a regular (non-electric) file and again rubbed it vigorously, so at that point, the skin around my nails was all abraded and sore. Even several hours later, as I am typing this review, it still hurts. Then she redid the four nails and sent me away. When I arrived home, I found out the polish is AGAIN wavy and full of bubbles!! The man at the checkout said that this sometimes happens with the top coat, but I researched this issue online and everyone seems to agree that this is clearly a poor job of the manicurist who either applies too thick of a layer or does not let the gel cure properly. So now my hands are all raw and sore, my manicure sucks, I paid $40 for this (the yesterday's manicure, not the "fixing" today), wasted two afternoons, and I will never ever walk in there again. Btw, I am never a rude customer. On the contrary, I am the type who almost apologizes for breathing too loud. So I cannot imagine making the manicurist dislike me for any reason. I am attaching the photos from tonight AFTER the bubbles in my gel polish were supposedly fixed. The first photo of my right hand also shows red sore skin around the nails of my middle and ring finger from the vigorous filing.
