This place is incredible and can’t recommend it more! I had never done any sort of clay art and historically hadn’t considered myself an artistic person. These classes are great for all experience levels and can be tailored to your skill level. The environment was positive, calming, fun, and inclusive. Not only was it satisfying to make some beautiful things, it also was a form of moving meditation in the opportunity to find a “flow” state where I was focused on only the task at hand. This was worth the investment and I already signed up for another series of classes given the enjoyable experience. Give them a try and you won’t regret it!

Sudhi's beginner and introduction (8 weeks classes) to pottery is a fantastic course! He's such a great teacher and has variety of classes for all levels to join varying from surface design to hand-building and much more. The studio is 24/7 which is wonderful and is at a great and safe location in QA! Definitely recommend to anyone who's looking to explore pottery and bringing your creative side out. I am coming back to the winter classes. Plenty of street (paid and free) parking available at walking distances.

Vortex Pottery is hands down one of the best studios I've been to. The owner Sudhi is such a generous and welcoming teacher for students of all skill levels. The studio itself is massive, it has plenty of wheels, 24/7 access, CLEAN! and the people there are all dedicated to their craft and constantly learning from each other. I've already made a commitment to come back here for classes regularly. Sign up for a class and get 24/7 access to a wonderful studio that we're very lucky to have in our neighborhood.

I took the 8 week beginner course in the fall and absolutely loved it. Sudhi is an excellent teacher and his passion for pottery is infectious. He’s a very patient teacher and is constantly inspiring and motivating his students. The 24*7 access to the studio is a big plus. Already signed up for more courses this winter !

I took the beginners pottery course with Sudhi at Vortex Pottery and had a really great learning experience. I knew nothing about pottery going into the class and came out with beautiful hand crafted pots. I love that I was able to learn from expert potters, especially with learning how to master the wheel. Throughout the course I also had 24/7 access to the studio to practice and make pots.
