I have used a couple times and every time something is broken or missing. The paddles are always broken or barely fit together. The locker with extra parts is filled with additional broken paddles. Most recently I paid extra for an electric pump and I was given a locker without a pump, after calling the help number I had to then go through 2 additional lockers to find a pump. After getting to the lake, the pump doesn’t even connect properly to the board to inflate. And now I am being charged for a broken paddle?

The product is good and the process is fine. I was surprised to realize it was just a locker at a gas station (think Amazon Locker), but it turned out fine. The only thing you miss is the personal aspect of renting something from a brick-and-mortar place and being able to ask questions to real people. But if you know all of that going in, then it works out fine. Another thing to consider is that you have to inflate them before use (with an included pump), so you'll probably spend the first 15 minutes getting set up, and your arms are a little tired before even getting to the water. The kayaks probably take way longer, but the paddle boards are pretty quick and easy to inflate. The only thing I might suggest to the company is the make a poster with some local info to put on the lockers so you don't have to go to the website to look up things like where the nearest boat ramp is or what exactly should be in the locker (these things are all on the website, but once you're there it'd be nice to have them in print). All that said, I'd recommend it to a friend. Thanks!

Overall, my group and I had a great experience! I didn't receive the email with my locker codes until an hour after my reservation time, but I luckily received a text at the start of my reservation time. Some of our group had issues where their boards had leaks, and the WakeRack team was kind enough to replace them and add an additional hour for no extra charge. Another board in our group had a leak that we didn't notice until we were on the river, but it was luckily such a small leak, that there were no issues, even being on the river for 3+ hours. The only other issue would be the paddles. Some were is great condition, while others were in really poor condition and kept falling apart, no matter how much we tightened them. That didn't ruin our day on the river though! This was a really fun experience, and I would definitely return to this company to rent again! I would just hope they make sure the boards are fully patched and the paddles are in better condition/replaced.

These guys are AMAZING. Convenient location right by several access points on Falls - easy easy easy - they've had me out on the lake all week!! Locals tip - I've loved renting the paddle boards to take up to the Beaverdam recreation area with the dogs - no gas motors allowed so its just you and the bald eagles you're sure to spot!!! Our family rates WakeRack 5 stars and 4 paws!!

We recently had a negative experience with WakeRack. We rented two SUPs and both the booking and pick-up process were smooth. We drove to the nearest boat launch and started inflating. We had watched the instruction video and were aware of how the valve works, but the valve on one of the boards was broken so a lot of air would leak out when the pump was removed (it would not pop into the up/inflate position). We inflated the board twice which was a lot of work before realizing that it was not going to work. We called customer service and they gave us a code to another locker, so we drove back to the locker switch out the boards after an hour of trying to figure this out and pumping. Unfortunately the replacement board had the same issue. We inflated that one three times before we resigned to letting as little air leak out as possible while quickly putting the cap on. It took us over 2 hours to get onto the water and at that point we were already exhausted. The customer service agent that we spoke with was not very helpful and we had to ask for extra time and a discount to make up for this. We loved the idea of the flexibility of an inflatable SUP rental, but the equipment was not up to par.
