Warren Village is an amazing housing program. There’s always ups and downs especially living here for 2 years. The washer and dryer situation is a little ridiculous and it did not help dealing with mental health AND not being able to wash my clothes as needed. The roach problem really isn’t their fault and it has been under control since last year. Maintenance has always been amazing with keeping my apartment working and looking great! Some units even have dishwashers! Living at Warren Village gave me HOUSING SECURITY. I am proud to tell people that I was a part of Warren village. Truly an inspiration to have lived here and grow with others that have the same motivation. With all that being said DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THE LEARNING CENTER DOWNSTAIRS!!!! My child is a victim of CSA because they don’t supervise the children properly. Very sad and traumatic situation I had to deal with. AND NO ONE CARED! They even lied to me. You notice that other review about the learning center? That review was talking about my daughter’s class. The teacher that used “excessive physical force” on the child STILL WORKS WITH KIDS AT THAT LEARNING CENTER. And they yell at the children outside while they’re playing. My sister even witnessed teachers encouraging children to throw wood chips. SAVE YOUR CHILDREN and don’t send them downstairs.

WV help me get out of homelessness and while I stayed there they helped me get scholarships and I obtained my AA. Then I won a HCV and got my BA, now on my MS. I'm still a single mom, buy I'm much more independent now because of their aid in my life.

The housing department is very unprofessional and rude. Especially Breeanna! Told me my rent was one amount for a whole year and turns out it was more, so in the end it looks like I owe money and I don’t. Make sure you get a copy of everything she has you sign to cover yourself. I emailed her several times about this specific issue and she only responded once I left a review telling the truth about her. This building is raggedy and so are the people that work here. This building is roach infested. There’s 12 washing machines and dryer’s and only 2 work. I don’t recommend living here to anyone. I was constantly stress and depressed during my stay.

This is transitional housing, it's not going to be favored. However, I am grateful. Any building older than a year has potential for roaches. There are bad seasons in any place occasionally, and a huge relief when clear. This facility is old and has limited space. The maintenance crew is active and almost constant. I think the people are good, but drama may come and go. Make use of anything offered by Family Services, express any questions and concerns to them and they will get to the bottom of it. Housing is usually busy and not theebest to talk to. ;) So for a cap hill apartment, I think it's worth it, especially for the services provided. Utilities included, 24hr security, nearby parks.
