This is a great place full of nature! The off leash dog area is NOT fenced but is large and grass filled for a good place to play fetch with your dog! My dog loved it and had a great time! They even have big trash cans for cleaning up after your dog! The park was also nice and looked like kids would enjoy it! The walking trails were closed due to the runoff flooding and fast flowing water. Not sure when the trails will re-open, the sign didn’t say… I liked this park alot as it was quiet and peaceful!

This place is accessed from the Westside of sugarhouse Park. You enter under an overpass and come out to a secluded forest environment while being surrounded by city life on both sides. The preserve gives way too access parleys trail and let's you access the restaurants and shops as it loops around to lead you back under 1300 E to sugarhouse Park. Great place to enjoy nature without leaving the city!

Part of the wasatch hollow preserve, this is a great place to spend the day. There is a dog park, kids play area, plenty of benches, pavilions, and picnic benches. There is a nature trail. I highly recommend this place. My son and I loved our first visit. We will be back.

It's now beautiful greenspace in the city., but for many years this places' reputation was summed up in its slang name: "Dog Poop Park". But then the park was expanded to include the trails out to the north along Emigration Creek and a childrens play area added. Then the dog owners users of the space became probably the best group in town for picking up after their beloved pets. Now In theory, someday this park connects to the Blaine Ave Preserve to the south and then across 15th East to the far eastern boundary of Allen Park. This would then be one larger connected public riparian land. Birds of all kinds could thrive as would small animal species. Perhaps someday all of the land along the shores of the 7 Creeks of SL County would be reclaimed, donated, easements approved etc. and become greenspaces open to the public: City Creek, Red Butte Creek Emigration Creek, Parleys Creek, Millcreek, Big Cottonwood Creek, and Little Cottonwood Creek Imagine world class outdoor areas accessible to all each connected to the green spaces around the Jordan River.
