We rented kayaks at the Bridgeport Arts Center, Bubbly Creek Location and loved it! It was pouring rain when our original reservation was supposed to be, but I called and they said we could come later when the rain cleared up. Jim was at that location and he gave us great advice on proper paddling technique and where to go and what to see. He was extremely knowledgeable about the river and kayaking. Bubbly creek is calm and peaceful, lots of wildlife to see. We went into the south branch of the Chicago River for a more urban experience. Great views of the city. We definitely want to go again and head towards the Ping Tom Park. I highly recommend Wateriders and this location!

We definitely made the best of things and had a great time, a lot of the groups weren’t listening to the guides but the guides were also pretty vague about information one guide curly fro hair was definitely more involved than other guides Theo rather new guide kept telling us to speed up but there were like 6 groups behind us and only like 4 in front of us which was kinda annoying. Along with Multiple other kayaker groups kinda made the experience less enjoyable just because they kept crashing into our kayak, splashing water, hitting people with paddles, ramming people into walls stopping mid paddle to take photos just a lot going on. After we were able to get away from those groups we were able to enjoy the water and beautiful architectural views. Very luring and beautiful at night, definitely a once in a lifetime experience and would recommend and do it again

We had a beautiful kayak ride from Bridgeport to Ping Tom Park and back. Saw turtles, herons, big fish, lots of wildflowers and more! James, the instructor who launched us, was very fun, kind, and informative. They were very gracious and generous when we last track of time and arrived late to return our kayak. Pro tip: book for 3 hours if you want to kayak to Ping Tom and back! Or book a one way to downtown!

Went on a Tuesday, mid-day. I was able to set it up the night before without issue. Awesome experience to paddle under the bridges and to see the city from a different angle. Cost for all five of us (two adults and 3 teens) was reasonable and more than worth it for the experience. Thanks Wateriders!
