I did a lot of research before finding Wicker Bicycles. Owner was great, very friendly, had a large selection of bikes. Was open on Saturday at 5pm which was great for us. Bikes were in great condition and their location is convenient from most of the city. Pricing is comparable if not better than other companies in the area. The bike was in great shape, clean, and had everything I needed like a comfy seat, a good lock, and a helpful map. Plus, it was affordable. I was so impressed with the customer service I received. I was in need of a large number of bicycles last minute, I stumbled across Wicker Bicycle Rentals and was highly impressed with the professionalism and the turn around time to accommodate me with 15 bikes for a great price for 48hrs. My partner and I were unhappy with the quality of bikes at this shop. For the cost of rental, we were expecting newer and nicer bikes similar to what is available to rent at other bike shops in Chicago. We had awkward interactions with the technician at the shop because he wasn’t ready to help us when we arrived and there was no visible storefront for us to find when we arrived at the time agreed upon the day before on the phone. We requested a refund after riding for 20 minutes and seeing that my helmet padding was deteriorating and his handle bars were too. The manager emailed us promptly letting us know we wouldn’t be getting a refund. Wouldn’t recommend :/
