Wolfe & Porter sets a real high standard for cocktail bars! We loved the unique NC-focused literary theme from decor to even how the checks are given in books from the namesake authors. It's clear they put a substantial amount of money into renovating the space, and the result is really nice. The two floors are noticeably different depending on what you're in the mood for, slight tweaks to each menu on each, and there are real nice (surprisingly large) outdoor spaces in both front and back. Also appreciated that there weren't TVs all over the place (more than enough sports bars around if that's what you're after), just a one or two here or there, and pull down projectors in the basement if needed (such as march madness this weekend). The three drinks we got were really good, and so many sounded good, which was nice vs some places where only a few are appealing. Only suggestion we would have is adding outlets downstairs along the wall as it feels like a nice place to go in the afternoon or evening to get some work done during the week. We'll definitely be back regardless!

We had my Son and Daughter in laws welcome party for 120 people here. The service was top notch and so accommodating and the cocktails were wonderful. The venue is ideal and we had numerous positive comments on the space from our guests. Thank you Aubrey, Ritchie, Jacob, Brooks and the entire team of W&P for providing our families with a memorable and lovely event!

Stopped in here during the cold opening. Super friendly bar tenders. Great vibe upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs bar is going for a neighborhood vibe while downstairs is more speakeasy. And the two bars have different menus and prices. You just gotta figure out what your vibe is when you’re there. I couldn’t decide so I went to both.

Great addition to Raleigh’s bar scene. Enjoyable cocktails, great draft selection, and reasonably priced bottles/cans. Inside is slick, going to have to rally the troops and occupy one of the booths after work. I stopped in after a run, super friendly bar staff. My only suggestion.. pickleball courts in the back pad

If you’re looking for a great hole-in-the-wall bar with an excellent IPA selection, then this is the place for you. The staff is incredibly personable and I always meet new people every time I visit. It has a cozy vibe, decorated with vintage knick-knacks and beer steins. If you’re visiting in winter, you’ll be plenty warm on the patio seated by their outdoor heaters. Or opt to sit inside and work on the community puzzle. They’re currently undergoing a renovation of their outdoor space and I can’t wait to come back once it’s completed! A must-visit for Raleigh locals and visitors alike.
