I am incredibly moved by the scent of a good old fashioned rose, bringing back nostalgic memories of working in my grandmothers gardens of roses. This garden is amazing. There are so many varieties- every color in the rainbow. Every shape and size. And the scented varieties, oh I had so much fun in here and took so many photos. I love the art deco statuary and water features- and the pond lilies were so beautiful! Definitely worth a stroll and can see myself coming back to picnic or read a book. What a true urban gem!!!!

This is not just a garden — it’s a garden with over a century of history. An absolutely amazing place to visit on a sunny summer day. The best time to go is late June to early July, during peak rose season. Right now, many of the bushes have already finished blooming, but this place features over 3,000 rose bushes and around 200 different rose varieties. There’s a small pond with floating lilies and fish, a fountain, a beautiful gazebo, and a fascinating sensory park with wind chimes and other features. The variety of roses — and other plants — is simply stunning. There’s lots of greenery where you can sit on the grass, plus a few benches. I recommend bringing snacks and drinks to enjoy your time there. You can park down by Green Lake to avoid parking issues, since free parking here is very limited. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The Woodland Park Rose Gargen is a beautiful place to relax and smell the roses. It's small, but usually not crowded. My daughter and I love to go there while waiting for her dad to pick her up. It has not only roses but other flowers as well. A great variety. Great for a small picnic. And, it's free! My pictures are of other flowers they have.
