Ordered online (first time) these tiny $10 tofu-vegetarian spring rolls were very disappointing - no veggies, no mint. As a vegetarian, it hits a little different when something that’s already so simple is made with so little effort.

I ordered the General Tso’s chicken as takeout a little while back. While, it’s far from the best I’ve ever had, it was perfectly suitable. As someone staying in a nearby hotel, it was an easy place to travel to with decent food. The staff were also friendly during my brief visit.

My wife and I have seen this place for a while being a block away from where we live. I finally gave it a shot and really enjoyed it. Sushi bar in front of you but also the entree and appetizer I had were delicious. Entree took a bit but it seemed like it was at a perfect time after I finished my 6 roll sushi and two spring rolls. Would recommend for a casual, hang out or meal

I would say it is decent food. Not too great and not bad either. Pretty much the quintessential average Chinese restaurant, with a bit more variety thrown in. Don't expect more. Had the eggplant hot pot. It did not look like a hot pot , but more like a plate of steamed eggplant in teriyaki sauce. The peanut curry was good. Food was low on salt in general. Will not be returning.

Had dinner here with a colleague. We ate in and since Gunbarrel is more of a quiet town in the evening, we were the only ones. Several people came in for pick-up. That would be my usual choice too, but it was also nice to sit for a bit. We ordered the lettuce wrap shrimp. The sauce was awesome and we ate it all. Forgot to get a pic before we chowed down :) He ordered the Singapore Meinfun, which is a noodle dish with chick, shrimp, and a curry sauce. I had a taste and thought it was nice! Too much curry can upset my stomach, but this was mild and ever so slightly sweet. My dish was the chicken stir fry noodles. It was not as saucy or salty as I prefer. I added about 2 teaspoons of soy sauce to get some more flavor into it. Compared to the shrimp app and the Singapore, this wasn’t the best. We both agreed that the dinner portions were too big for one person, they’re more family style. Even still, we each ate the full amount—enough for 2-3 people—so, we must have been hungry! Their green tea is lovely! You know how most green teas have a bitter aftertaste? Theirs has zero bitterness. The water is the right temperature and the leaves aren’t over-steeped. It’s excellent. Feeling like a little adventure, we also got the green tea ice cream. Again, a huge portion we weren’t expecting! We couldn’t finish it, but it had nice flavor. Both he and I thought the garnish on top was unnecessary—chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry didn’t enhance the green tea note. The ice cream itself was refreshing and it’s fun to say we tried :)
