I called for dropped off boxes of cleaned great clothes, the person whom answered the phone told me that is opened 7 days in a week(7:00am til 11:00am). So the next day, I happened to dropped off some clothes, the trucks worker told me that there closed. Opened at 8:00am. I told them but the lady told me over the phone that you are opened at 7:00am. Which I got there at 7:33am. I had to drove back home, & returned back at 8:00am for them to accept what I was dropping off. They were very rude manner towards accepting any cleaned cloths/merchandise. they were not accepting any cleaned furniture as well. But I walked in the store & they had a few furniture outside the entrance door. 😳😲😠as I found something to buy. This amvets thrift store does not give any credit for seniors citizens nor military discount. I have been to other thrift store's & they have discount for seniors & military people. Here, in this one is horrible! Very expensive!! no discount on whatsoever! Very bad, bad service šŸ˜”šŸ‘Žwhat kinda of charity whom will not accept cleaned, great condition of clothes & furniture for the needs. This is for all VA charity. Unless this company is wanted to make business profit for themselves. That's not right. Willing to help donate items to the VA in need and the company is getting stingy with the merchandise and making money for themselves. 😔

i used to love amvets. it was my favorite amongst all other thrift stores, but after a recent visit, for the first time ever.. i did not buy anything. prices have gone up. shirts are at a flat rate of 3.99/4.99 and up. same with jackets and long sleeves and any other sort of top. pants are 6.99 and up. gone are the days of finding 99 cent or $2 deals (without a half off tag), etc just anything under $3. gone gone gone. i went in excited since i hadn't visited for over a year, only to be disappointed at the price increase. not to mention, everytime i did go, it was unfortunately never when its the color tag thats half off that day. i went on a white tag day and i could barely find any white tags. mind you, i went at 8am when they opened. i understand 4.99 or 6.99 isnt technically expensive, but as a long time customer here who loved those cheaper deals compared to competitors, its just disheartening. it just shows this no longer is the place i grew up with and unfortunately i will no longer shop here.

Tell me why a customer was walking around with a big roll of sold stickers in her purse. I’m guessing management is her family because she goes around putting stickers on everything she wants & goes to the same cashier to get ā€œspecial pricesā€. She resells stuff in Mexico. Apparently they’re there everyday. If you want something & she wants it too trust me you won’t get it because they cater to her. Used to be nice a long time ago

By far the worst customer service. Donation center sign says it will be open 8am to 2pm and even if you call, the rep will you the same. However, when you show up at 1pm, it's already closed and the man that is supposed to be working there till 2pm, will flat just tell you to go away! When I asked him if my watch was off, he said I was insulting him. Just an absolute awful experience. Just save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Any place is better than this establishment.
