Full disclosure - I’m not a cricket player. As a user of the South Walnut Creek bike trail I pass the cricket pitch multiple times a week. Most of the times the parking lot and area where the players gather is littered with trash and plastic bottle waste is everywhere. As a property that sits adjacent to a public park land, garbage from the pitch often blows into the bike path. I wish the users of that space had more care for their surroundings & the affect their garbage has on others. It doesn’t take much time to empty a garbage can into a dumpster or pick up your trash after a game.

Updates [5/23/2021] ... Standards declined drastically :-( Outfield is bushy, ball literally stops. Muddy patches in fielding area, difficult to field. Pitch nd 1 bowling runup is ok but other side is not good. Connecting road is still not proper, but atleast they have put concrete mix on it,so cars can go. Hopefully it'll hold in heavy rains. Superb Ground, very nicely maintained, good spacious ground, great outfield. They have one Net, which is not well maintained, but more than enough for a free service, I love that. The connecting road is an issue ... muddy road and cars get stuck and need to get towing to remove, horrible experience (happened twice, not me though). But the outfield is superb ... I love it. The ground is covered with trees from all side, so gives you a privacy feeling while playing as well.

One of the worst cricket pitches I have played on. An absolute nightmare to bowl on. Grass isn't cut short for matchdays, uneven field, bowler run up is full of rocks and stones, the Pitch itself is not leveled with the field. It's about a few inches above the field creating a danger zone for bowlers likely to cause injuries. Inner circle line and the boundary lines do not exist. It's up to the umpire and the fielder to work it out. Has 2 lanes of Training nets which are the only positives of this place. There aren't any restrooms or water fountains on site either. Management should do something about the pitch situation!

The cricket field it's an excellent location to stop for a break while writing the South Walnut Trail. However the lack of water facilities or fountain makes it difficult to hydrate or refill any of your water bottles. Yet the bleachers are under the shade due to several trees how lying around the area. Every time Myers would travel from my Residence at the ranch to tell I would always stop by there take a break.
