Why BLUE Missions is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

BLUE Missions is a unique nonprofit organization that serves as a powerful platform for people—especially youth and religious groups—to engage meaningfully in solving the global water crisis. Based in Miami, Florida, this organization focuses on connecting families in Latin America to clean, fresh water through sustainable service projects. Beyond just providing access to water, BLUE Missions is deeply committed to educating and inspiring the next generation of global citizens. Their program empowers young volunteers to advocate for water security worldwide and gain a broader understanding of social inequalities, sustainability, and global citizenship. Volunteers participate in transformational service trips where they encounter life outside their comfort zones, often within impoverished communities, offering them firsthand insight into the daily struggles around water scarcity and sanitation. This authentic immersion helps participants not only make a tangible impact by supporting infrastructure projects but also cultivate empathy, personal growth, and a lifelong commitment to social change. BLUE Missions operates on a 100% giving model, ensuring that all donations directly support their mission and projects. Service trips are often organized for churches and youth groups nationally, facilitating faith-driven action that combines service, education, and cultural exchange. Through meaningful engagement, volunteers discover their potential to make lasting changes both locally and globally, making BLUE Missions a remarkable place for like-minded people to gather, serve, and grow together.

If you have the opportunity to go on a BLUE trip, please go! It will be the best experience of your life. I've recently come back from my 2nd trip in June, and I'm returning next summer. It's an understatement to say it's life-changing. Friendly staff, best hospitality, and supporting a beauitful mission! If you cannot go on a trip, I would recommend the cause camps and the building young leaders program for your children. I participated in both, and I would recommend it to anyone!

My family and I volunteered with Blue Missions this summer, helping to build an aqueduct providing clean water for 30 families in the Dominican Republic. Not only is Blue Missions building life-changing projects, but they are an incredibly well organized and efficient charity. We look forward to continuing helping them help others.
