Cozy local Colorado winery with several whites and a palate of tasty red wine varietals. Well structured, dry and chewy with herbs, meaty and/or spicy notes. Bookcliff hosts wine pairing dinners and annual trips! A very good find. We ended up joining the club to get better access to their yummy wines.

Bookcliff supplied the wine for our wedding reception a number of years ago. We wanted Colorado wine, and they had a nice selection. Thanks, Bookcliff Vineyards!

We went post COVID-19 re-opening so naturally the environment of every winery is different. Bookcliff has done a wonderful job keeping options for distancing and still keeping their good service. The wines were nice and we liked them enough to join the club. It's one of the best I've seen. You get to choose your own, good discounts, free tastings, % off, etc. I went back again with a friend about a month later and it was good to know they were sticking to the safety rules while still keeping up with their great attentiveness and tasty wine! I think it will evolve into an even better spot when some more permanent seating and perhaps shade/heat options like shade or heaters depending on the weather. The view is one of the best of all wineries and would be a wonderful addition to the experience. That is the only reason it is four stars and not five.

The wine was OK. We were pretty disappointed with the service. We kept asking for a background or flavor profiles on the wine and kept getting met with blank stares. They also sat us in the very back when we arrived (totally understand as it was busy), but when spots opened up in the main section they would tell other people who weren't there as long to take the seats. We felt very judged and not taken seriously as young wine enthusiasts. We left with a bottle of wine which would have been better than sitting through the poor service.

Chris and the rest of the Bookcliff team went out of their way to help me throw my wife a perfect surprise party! Chris was very communicative and even game to help with the backstory needed to stick the landing on the surprise. The price was reasonable and totally clear from the get-go, the charcuterie spread was great, and they even let us bring in some of our own food and n/a drinks to supplement the party. The wine was delicious, as usual. Chris's service during the party itself was truly impressive and beyond what I expected. He kept track of everyone's wine samples, took care of all the dishes, helped set up and decorate, and even took care of getting the cake ready with candles and plating individual slices of the cake for our guests. The cake in particular was something I figured I would need to handle, but it was so lovely to just visit with our friends while Chris handled it, super professionally. I highly recommend them for your private party/event needs!

The founders’ dedication is evident in the evolution from a small basement operation to a celebrated winery with well-regarded wines and two tasting rooms—one in Boulder and one in Palisade. Their portfolio showcases a range of varietals and blends that receive consistent acclaim for smoothness and drinkability, notably their reds which avoid the common pitfalls of high acidity. The combination of local grape growing and thoughtful winemaking crafts wines that are authentic, distinctive, and representative of the Western Slope region. This authenticity appeals strongly to locals and visitors who want to support Colorado producers and enjoy truly local wine experiences. BookCliff’s active engagement with the community through wine clubs, events, and direct customer relationships further distinguishes it as a pillar of Boulder’s burgeoning wine culture.
