A nice spot from downtown Portland to cool off. It can be crowded and noisey from PDX but bring a portable speaker and enjoy the break 🤩

Great beach to let out dogs run around. It’s filled with points of interest for them to smell and dig and pee. Occasional dead fish will be washed up when the tide is low, so if your dog likes to rub on things keep a close eye.

For years my friends and I have spent a many hot summer days at "the spot" However today we were unable to spend even 10 minutes. After hauling our stuff down, setting up, and ready to chill, the entire shoreline was infested with flying ants....We had never seen this before. They started biting, and settling down on our beach blanket. I'm not sure why they came to torture us, but just check it out before hauling, setting up, and settling down. Evil Pest Infestation!!

Typically I take the jetski out to the island though its still a little too cold for that. I decided to take the dog here and walk the small beach. Great Mt Hood views and it was honestly like a little dog park. Great people around with lots of dogs. My pup enjoyed it. I'd recommend if you have a friendly dog to take him/her here.

Great visit to Broughton Beach. Got there just in time for sunset. Nicely maintained area and great views. Not too many people. This beach is a nice place to hang out for the day and relax the water is usually cold but if that bothers you jump right in make sure to watch out for boats and such when swimming. Sometimes the beach can be kind of dirty with bottle caps, glasses, cigarette buts, etc but over all very fun. Yes dogs are allowed. Can't go wrong with making a trip to this spot!
