Hiked this with family. Trail is difficult at points. Very steep rocks with hand rail. My young daughter 9 year old daughter was scared at times but was able to do it with some help. Was very busy on a Saturday morning limited parking. Steep hiking spots with hand rails got a little crowded at times. Views are beautiful and trail is really fun and unique if you’re a hiker and adventurous. We went on a 68 degree day I imagine on a hot day this would be a completely different experience.

I made it past the challenging "staircase" section with its steep incline. There are designated rest spots along the trail, which I utilized. The trail wasn't overly crowded during my early morning start. Overall: Camelback Mountain is a challenging hike, especially in the summer heat. I recommend starting very early in the morning and bringing plenty of water.
