It's pretty picturesque place. It's clean, decently lit. Theres free street parking and then a 5 minute walk to the pier. Now the pier itself in terms of fishing isn't exactly great. Little to no bites, just small fishes. It's probably a good place to practice "casting" but not an ideal spot if you wanna spend time actually fishing. I mean only from the one spot, I'm not sure if there are different spots to fish better.

Reserve picnic spots or nearby dining tables early if possible, particularly for weekend or peak season gatherings, to avoid wait times and ensure seating together. Bringing along binoculars or cameras can enrich the experience for wildlife watching components. Organizers might also encourage guests to share stories or participate in group games near the water for an added layer of fun. Lastly, safety should not be overlooked: remind participants of pier rules, watch the weather forecast, and ensure children are supervised near water. These small efforts can amplify group cohesion, enjoyment, and safety, leaving everyone eager to return for another outing.
