Lovely natural space with a mixture of paved and unpaved trails, with loops around a beautiful pond. The native wildflowers are growing shoulder-high in August. There's a very sweet children's play area with big pieces of wood to play on. Would recommend to anyone looking for some family-friendly nature.

This beautiful park was such a surprise. The park district has lovingly restored many spectacular prairie flowers, which can be seen virtually everywhere. Nice hiking trails and a lovely pond. Lots of birds, ducks, geese and turtles. Added plus of being right next to Rosehill Cemetery, which is also a favorite place. You have to park along Western Avenue, which can be dicey, depending on the size of your car, or deal with a very long walk to get to the entrance.

First time visiting this place. It’s beautiful, available seating through out the preserve to enjoy the scenery and the wildlife. As for any place in Chicago please be aware of your surroundings as there at times people sleeping in the Nature playground. I would definitely be returning. So glad I came across this place.

Awesome little nature area tucked away on the north side. I brought my fly rod out and had a blast on bass and panfish.
