Great class selections and timing for young and older adults. Instructors are highly experienced and make it clear that it is YOUR workout--modify where you need to. Pool temp is now stable with the new heater and staff are holding the temp so it works for water aerobics folks and lap swimmers (who typically like it a bit cooler). Workout machines are plentiful and well maintained--and self explaining, with QR codes for instructions on correct set up of the particular machine. No more guess work!

Horrible customer service, refused to cancel membership until I threatened to contact the FTC and Georgia consumer support for not following consumer protection laws, Machines are limited which makes for an unwelcoming environment, especially for women. The gym itself is stinky, grimy, and crowded, especially considering I pay a high premium to attend ($40/month for a single gym membership). I complained to the directors about these concerns, after experiencing sexism at the gym, and I didn’t get a response until I filed a second complaint and demanded a cancellation after I went in person to cancel and they said they, “Don’t do cancellations here and I will be charged through October,” (completely illegal by the way).

I have been a member for a while When their billing program changed, I stopped at the front desk to ensure I was still set up on automatic draft. They checked my account and reassured me everything looked just fine and everything was on track since the new billing transition. I recently received an Email from the new membership director stating that I owed for five months And that money has not been collected through the automatic draft.. Some might disagree, but I offered to pay half of it in full because I felt like it was their error especially since I had efficiently followed up to ensure all looked good, as far as my financial responsibility. I canceled my membership because they were not willing to work with me. I don’t look at my account every single month for automatic draft so make sure you do To prevent what happened to me.

Highly recommended. Staff is welcoming, patient and very competent, particularly including Miki Joyner, who leads a broad range of exercise classes. Facility is very safe and clean, offering many opportunities for exercise, from a very large collection of exercise machines, to swimming, gym activities and lots of exercise classes.

Cowart Family YMCA provides a lot of great programs for seniors that have substantially increased my strength, stamina, and energy. It's been life changing for me. I'm retired but in much better shape, both physically and mentally, than when I was working. The benefit I didn't see coming was the friendships developed here with other members as well as staff. For many of us Cowart Y has become "the town square" where we not only excercise but socialize and become involved in each others' lives. We give each other a lot of support. It's become a great way to start the day. Allen Freeman
