I am glad to have a Fred Meyers close-ish to my neighborhood, and I think their prices are better than Safeway. One of the employees told me that this location is the smallest of all of them in the area and is the reason they dont have a lot of things. Like fishing line or even anything remotely similar to fishing line. There isn't a garden center or clothing department either. The area is also not so great so they have had to get pretty serious about loss prevention. Which is understandable but it just makes you realize that you cant forget to lock your car.

They have always been both helpful when asking questions, as well as being swift in assisting with consumer needs. Quite a large store, can't imagine not being able to find that one completely random and uncommon ingredient that I will need when I make that recipe I'll probably only ever cook once because my parents are coming over for Thanksgiving supper. They got what you need, when you need it. Except after midnight or 1 AM (they close, duh!) when they shutter the doors and kick everyone out :(

Regardless of what they will say, they are using the bird flu to increase profits, just as they did during Covid. Weird... other stores seem to keep their prices the same. They also have the nerve to use a yellow sale tag.

This Fred Meyer is huge. Good security, lots and lots of self checkout stations (three separate areas). You can get really good deals with the app, and they often discount items really cheap. Make sure to keep your receipt handy because they check every time. I’m fine with that, security is always friendly and quick. Friendly employees and lots of options for everything I need. There is always a clean basket or cart to use. Canceled my Instacart membership and never looked back. Freddie’s has everything I need.
