We were visiting the Seattle area and Freedom Boat Club Members. We were able to get a boat on a Friday during our grandson’s spring break. The staff was nice and the boat was clean. We lucked out that it was a beautiful day. We went along coast to Seattle downtown area, docked at Blake Island and Bainbridge Island. This is a beautiful area to explore on a boat.

We recently joined and are so glad that we did!! We have been busy with kids’ sports and activities, but now that they are grown it is time to spend our free time fishing and cruising. We have been able to reserve boats easily. Deckhands have been so helpful when we disembark and dock. The training gave us the tools we need to enjoy boating and stay safe! Elliott Bay is a beautiful marina. We still need to explore other marinas available to us. We are looking forward to lots of time on the water and love not worrying about the maintenance or cost of owning a boat.

I love using Freedom. We live on Lake WA but don’t want to buy a boat yet. Maybe never with all of the choices. Pontoons are only great for the lake but we live too close to salt water to not want a sea worthy option. Then we have fishing boats with small cabins and all of gear needs to make a day fishing fun.

Staff was very helpful in helping loading and unloading our gear to and from the boat. Checkout was seamless and fast. The Defiance boat handled very well, easier to maneuver, smooth, stable. All the features worked well.

Do not give this company your banking information. They willfully violate the Electronic Funds Transfer Act by continuing to charge your bank account after you have expressly rescinded their authorization to do so. In response to owner…you’ve proved my point. You can sort it out with regulators. Most reputable business would respect a customers request if someone asks you to halt debits to their bank account. I think most reasonable people would expect that business to respect and honor the request while a mutually agreeable solution is reached. You didn’t, and I’m sure should a similar situation arise you will do the same to anyone else foolish enough to trust you with their banking information. Instead you try to paint your customer in a bad light. I’ve offered to pay you in full even though I won’t be using your services. Your management has failed to respond. They’ve been largely unresponsive throughout the situation. Additionally, your assertion that the Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA) and Regulation E only apply to financial institutions is incorrect. Under 12 CFR § 1005.10(b) of Regulation E, “The person that obtains the authorization shall provide a copy to the consumer.” This clearly includes any business or third party that initiates a preauthorized electronic fund transfer, not just financial institutions. Further, the Official Interpretation (Supplement I to Part 1005, Comment 10(b)) clarifies that: “The person initiating the transfer, not necessarily a financial institution, is responsible for obtaining the authorization in writing and for providing a copy to the consumer.” This language makes clear that the legal responsibility to obtain and honor valid authorization lies with the initiating party, which in this case is your company. I’m no lawyer, but it appears to me that Continuing to charge my account after revocation constitutes a violation of federal law. PS…I still haven’t heard from Richard
