I had 8/10 ride operators (some of the rudest I've ever met, and I've traveled with them in more than one state so that's saying something) tell me my son was too short to ride any of the rides. Yet they gladly sold me a $50 ride pass for him. I've worked enough fairs (many of them right alongside Funtastic) to know they bring in more then enough money that they don't need to scam families out of a $50 bracelet. If you will not allow my child on the rides do not take my money to put him on them.

My experience with the carnival at the Marysville Strawberry Festival was disappointing. The carnival doesn't offer a wristband option, and most rides require 13 tickets each. The only food options were hot dogs, curly fries, and fried desserts. My son, who is under 2 and only tall enough for one ride, was too scared to ride it twice, costing us 24 tickets. The attendant ignored me when I explained that my son didn’t even ride, and no refund was offered. Most of the staff were rude, except for Michelle. Michelle was very kind, patient, and inviting, especially with my shy daughter. She even offered to accompany my daughter through an attraction, showing great kindness and a positive attitude. Without Michelle, this carnival would get just one star from me.

Fantastic should be ashamed for ripping off the people in the community. The only reason The Rose Festival committee uses your service. Is because you are local. That needs to stop. Because you charge $20 for two rides, or you have to pay $120 for five rides and games that are all from the 60's and 70's. Everything they operate should condemned and taken out of service. The rickety roller coaster stop on the first hump and rolled back. Then they had to take it further back to get a running start to make it up the little hump. The city of Portland and The Rose Festival need to find a company that is reasonable and actually puts money into their rides. Fantastic is probably one of the worst companies of it's kind I'm the whole country.

I had attended Capital Lake Fair with my children yesterday and had a horrific experience in which I feel should lead to some additional training. In my field, I have seen very unfortunate and tragic accidents and lots of money lost by a negligent business, such as the one I saw yesterday. On the Round Up ride, my 5 children in which I spent $200.00 on bracelets, one of my child’s lap belt slowly started to fall off. My child is holding to the bars panicking as we were holding to ourselves also panicking because I am telling the kids running the ride that his safety belt is off and they tell their manager, Francisco Gonzalez who tells them that my child will be fine, without knowledge that we were standing right behind him. I yelled at the kid to stop the ride in where he quickly did and apologized and explained that his manager had told him not to stop it. This was immediately after the ride started, and luckily I was there to protect my child’s safety. It was also very unfortunate that he let all the paying guests off the ride and invited new ones in without first calling his supervisor, and without checking why the belt was malfunctioning. I asked for Francisco’s supervisor and he called out to him as he laughed. Apparently, my child’s safety and the longevity of the company was a joke to him. I complained to the supervisor (who unfortunately remained unnamed) and let him know I will be contacting fantastic and the event coordinators on the unprofessionalism of your staff as well as the danger posed to our residents here in Olympia. I paid a lot of money at your carnival to be treated with such disrespect and disregard for my child’s safety. I will await a response with explanation of the measures of how they will be taking to ensure something like this does not happen again. I will keep this updated.
