My first time at Fuse theater was amazing. The place was inviting and comforting. Everyone there was so so nice and relaxed and ready for an amazing afternoon of theater. The play Kate Mura performed was her One Woman show, “The Play About My Father”. It was by far the best one-person performance I have ever experienced. Kate’s powerful performance through a wide range of distinctive characters moved with ease and flow full of symmetry. We were on a journey with Kate through A singular event that was not only transformative to her life, but to her family as well. Kate’s unabashed and emotive talent for revealing vulnerability so close to her audience made for a most intimate experience of theater, which moves the soul and lets the heart fly with the laughter and joy as much as expressing and feelings of grief and pain. Kate’s performance was beautifully done. Add to this, Kate incredible ability for impromptu interaction with the audience based on audience reactions was something the likes of which I’ve never experienced before; it made the entire show and performance all that much better. Kate is a wonder and a presence. Kate is one of the finest performers I have ever had the pleasure to know. She is the whole package! if you see Kate Mura on the marquee go see her!
