Went on a 2 day trip on the Old Glory with Cpt Kley and it was unreal. Being from Texas I had to rent rods and reels and the guys in the tackle shop took care of me there. The deckhands were all knowledgeable and helpful with tying knots and telling us what to expect. The meals were included and the food was great. The bunks were clean and the A/C was working overtime. I managed to land a 180lb bft my first night due to all the crews help. Cant wait to do it all again soon.

We were out for a half day fishing. It was about one and half hours of driving to the destination and about the same time coming back. So the total fishing time was about two hours. I caught 8 fishes with most of them being California scorpion fish and two rock fish. I saw several seals swimming while fishing out there. They’re really nice and friendly people. And the service was great. Just wished the traveling time was shorter so we have more time fishing.

Went on a 1/2 day Sunday fishing trip and was not very happy with the trip. The check in staff was very friendly and made renting the gear easy, but the deck crew not so much. The $120 total for the trip, gear, and license did not reflect the experience and service I expected. We received zero guidance for which boat to get on or even how to fish for the rock fish. I had to rely on others next to me for help because the crew did not explain anything. I even had to rig up my own pole despite buying all of the tackle for it. With the amount of people they loaded up on the boat it was impossible to have an enjoyable experience. When you have 30+ people fishing all at once you’re spending nearly the entire trip untangling your line or climbing under people. The staff was very short tempered and unhelpful when it came to giving advice or untangling your line. You’d think that the crew would be more helpful given the nature of the number of people and overall experience level of those fishing. I was only able to reel in 3 fish total because I was snagged the other 95% of the time. I really wish they would’ve limited the number of rods in the water to give a better fishing experience.

Did a 1/2 day morning trip. In my lifetime I have been many times so I was really excited to take my children for their first time, ages 12, 10, and 7. It was a great experience that my kids loved and want to make a tradition. The crew was very helpful and made sure they had a great experience. Even other fisherman offered their help to me to make sure the kids had a good time. The breakfast and lunch was really good, so good that my kids racked up a bill. Now I understand why my father always complained when he had to pay the tab LOL
