Interesting concept and vibe! It is a 1920s Japan themed speakeasy. Reservations are highly recommended but maybe you can get a seat early around 5-6 pm. You ask the bakery counter to open the door which is very well hidden. The place itself is nice but the surprise element is so-so, been to more original settings. Inside the place is beautiful with a lot of care in the decor and props. The bar is very professionally set and the cocktails and spirit options perfectly curated. I give it 4-stars because we did not love the cocktails, although they are perfectly crafted and served and the glasses and spirits are top-notch, something in the flavor was not there. Also the setting is nice but not wow. It is worth to go one time but maybe not coming back, cocktails are on the pricier side (I don't think they are overpriced but rather did not love them) so 2 are in order for the 90 minute stay (which is the time limit for reservations). Did not get food but it seemed good, with nice options for pairing and hanging, not a full dinner.

The atmosphere here and the cocktails here were incredible… But what really made this an incredible experience for my wife and I was the bartender, Amadeus. It was clear that he was not only an experienced bartender/mixologist, but he also knew the entire menu off the back of his head, and he was also really personable. When we come back in the future, I hope that Amadeus (or someone of his caliber) is working because it would not have been the same without him. Also, this is the first time I’ve ever left a review for anything in my entire life, so hopefully that speaks volumes.

This place is everything. We had so much fun trying all the drinks here, they were all SO good, sophisticated, well balanced, and unique. The service was tip top checking on us frequently and bringing food and drinks out fast! I was most surprised at how amazing the bar food is! The only downside is the parking! Street parking downtown is not fun - but thats not their fault. Here’s what we got: The stash - good balanced but boozy, sour with a tangy aftertaste. Keylime pie seems like an accurate description of the flavor 7/10 Tokyo banana - SO smooth, like I could sip this all day! Nice refreshing banana taste, but smells like graham cracker, a little tangy at the end of the sip. There’s just so many layers to this drink. The banana cream on top was also yummy. The salty cracker thing on top was good too 10/10 Umeboshi sour- love the sour foam and the presentation, can definitely taste the campari, but it is fairly fruity and surprisingly good for campari 6/10 Trash panda - can taste coconut well, the durian is also very noticeable but refreshing like a piña colada, not much pineapple taste in my opinion, very cinnamon-y, very creamy 8/10 Food: Tuna tostada - creamy, salty, crunchy, this is sooo good 15/10. The large tuna piece is hard to bite but I suppose kind of keeps it from falling off the tostada Bougie fries - smokey curry ketchup is pretty unique and delicious. Nice shaving of parmesan (although could use even more lol), spicy mayo sauce was also delicious! 10/10 Karaage - good tangy but not as crunchy as expected. I love a nice crunchy outside, its probably because the sauce was poured over rather than separate for dipping. I give it 8/10 for amazing flavor though, the cut is chicken thigh Wagyu surf and turf roll - very good, a little smokey taste from the seared beef on top. Nice sauce, doesnt need any soy sauce because theres already so much flavor. Really nicely balanced flavor 10/10 We will definitely be coming back in the future to try more!

3.5 Speakeasy hidden behind a bakery. Offers Japanese inspired drinks and snacks. If you like Japanese whisky and flavors then this is your place. Appetizers were good but nothing wowed me. Service and appearance were great.
