We decided to take the kids ice skating for the first time and chose Kraken Iceplex after some research. I wasn’t disappointed! The online registration process was simple, and the rental skates were decent. It was a bit crowded, but that was expected since it was Valentine’s Day. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!

I had a very enjoyable time at the Kraken Community Iceplex! The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. I also really enjoyed the restaurant on site—great food, good vibes, and the perfect spot to relax after some time on the ice. The outside amenities were a pleasant surprise too, with open areas to hang out and a welcoming community feel. Whether you're there to skate, watch, or just soak in the scene, it’s a fantastic spot for all ages. I’ll definitely be coming back!

If You’re Looking to Waste Time and Money, This Is the Place Signed up for the adult “Learn to Play” league at Kraken Community Iceplex thinking it would be a fun, structured way to get into hockey. Spoiler alert: it’s not. Good luck getting in touch with anyone beforehand — emails vanish into the void and phone calls go unanswered. It's like they built a state-of-the-art facility and then forgot to hire anyone to actually run it. Once you finally show up, you’re greeted by a packed ice session with what feels like every beginner in the greater Seattle area crammed into one class. It’s blatantly obvious they’re just trying to stuff as many people on the ice as possible to cash in, with zero regard for whether anyone can actually learn anything. There are three coaches out there — only one of whom seems to have any interest in doing their job. The other two? They’re just standing around watching the chaos like bored spectators. Meanwhile, we’re all skating in circles, learning nothing, dodging people, and wondering why we paid hundreds of dollars for what amounts to poorly organized public skate. This was supposed to be fun. Instead, it’s frustrating, overpriced, and completely unhelpful. Major letdown.

Great service. Decent food. Poutine was 9.5/10 (and in honesty I'd rate 10/10 because of my preference to PNW flare in food. As for text book style it's 9/10) really enjoyed the Po'Boy but the bread was more chewy than anticipated (again, having had Nola poboy, the only thing i would change is to crisp and fluff up the bread more). I'd make this my watering hole if I lived closer.

I brought my granddaughter for her first time ice skating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also have seals that the kids can sit on and get pushed around to get used to the feel of the ice. These are a seperate rental fee. I found the traffic cones great to use to find my balance.
