Impressive little comedy club. We were hovering by the door at 7:30pm debating whether we should try to open the door and walk in or if we were on the right place waiting for a greeter outside. Turns out you do need to wait for someone to let you in! The inside of the lounge is cozy with a cute little bar. They have a limited cocktail menu at your seat. Drinks were STRONG! We went on open mic night and we were impressed by the 15+ comedians. The format of 4min each worked really well, if not just a SMIDGE too short of a set time. Love that it's attached to The Vortex so you can get a quality burger and fried pickles while you wait 🤤

The Laughing Skull is a great place to bring friends to have a great time along with enjoying good food and a beverage at the Vortex. The staff is awesome and I’d highly recommend anyone in the Atlanta area to stop on in for a show. I attended a few weeks ago on a Saturday and all of the comedians killed it and the staff were welcoming and funny too.

Went to one of the best open mics I’ve ever been to! All 26 comics I saw tonight were hilarious. Def would go back if I’m in Atlanta again and hope I’ll be able to see those comics again

This is such an imitate venue. You sit at little tiny Cafe tables. They make very good cocktails. The bar tender made a cocktail called the AtL ein. She also made a sump n fruit. Both were very smooth but strong pulls. However one does not come strictly for the bar. I went to see some FUNNY comedy. Not all of it was funny or my sense of humor...but allowed the practitioners to perfect their crafts. I will say this venue was packed for a Monday. I was comfortable. For the 17.00 , I paid...the joke is on them cause I got my moneys worth in just fun laughing comedy. I also donated to assist in struggling comedians. Anyways, it was great night out to have some humor!!! Oh the Vortex and Laughing Skull are very much separate in that they have different rules. Eat the whopper at the Vortex and swallow any beef in the club? FUNNY mayhe not I bow to the Laughing Skull people.
