I have been to Maggie’s a few times now…just moved to the area and have friends who recommended it. I did not mind the smoke…I was caught off guard by the night staff…a female who was beyond rude, short and looked like she hated her job. Keep in mind I ordered a draft beer and a straight fireball shot….the easiest order ever. Yet she was rude. Food was trash. Bathrooms even worse. The other customers sitting at the bar were the only charm AT ALL. The staff was miserable. For being in the service industry myself….a smile goes along way. I only recommend this bar if you like being spoken rudely t and like you are bothering the bartenders for ordering a drink. Plenty of other bars in the area with kind bartenders. This is not it.

I’ve been to Maggie’s plenty of times, but after getting punched in the face by a white woman for no reason, this will be my last. It started with a white guy yelling the N-word during a song, then shouting homophobic slurs minutes later. I turned to look, shocked, and got hit. I left, changed clothes (because yes, I was in a strapless dress and furious), and came back ready to defend myself. Instead of getting support after being assaulted, I was thrown out by “security” like I was the problem. The girl who hit me stood there laughing with her friends, feeling bold because she was surrounded by regulars who clearly get away with a lot. Management and staff—including Rusty and Pablo—have brushed me off and made me feel like just another “angry Black woman.” No accountability, no apology, nothing. Just told to “move on.” I asked to see the video as Pablo said I started the fight (no one was fighting). I have injuries and had to take the next day off work smh This place clearly doesn’t care about Black women or basic respect. Come here at your own risk.

Went in for a single beer while waiting for my Kroger prescription to get filled. Was $9 and change for a bud light bottle. Go to wild heaven next door and get a better beer for cheaper

This place’s ambiance is unmatched. Nothing too crazy, no drinks menu and the simplest food selection ever and yet it has a powerful way of keeping everyone around. The man behind the bar is a real superhero, mixing our drinks and serving us the food alone like he is an army of 12 man. Definetly would go back.

Such a great vibe, especially late night. Micah/Nigel, Jesse, Rusty, and the rest of the crew are champion bartenders! Always a great time and staff are always courteous. Only downside is the Emory kids that sometimes takeover…
