Marketing like it’s a historical monument that you have to go try but it was severely disappointing. 1. No table service of any kind. 2. No specialty shots 3. The burger was black and dried. 4. Paid an extra $2 for onion rings instead of fries and they split the order between my friend and i’s plates…and they were fried to flavorless…5. Tables are so close together our backs were touching other groups. 6. The floor was sticky and smelled like pee inside. 7. The bathroom was so tight you can’t open the stall door when someone is at the urinal…. The menu even has a little write up of its historical significance to the area but I’m sure the original owner would be grossed out in there. Much better places to go on that street. Don’t get tricked!

This is my favorite bar in the city. Cheap pitchers, good food, friendly people, and cozy atmosphere if you like dive bars. Weekend nights are shoulder to shoulder affairs but I never felt underserved at the bar. If you go during the day/early evening and order food the chicken wings are high quality. I can’t personally speak to the rest of the menu but I’ve never heard my friends complain. If you’re expecting to roll in on a Friday night and sit at a table with a waitress attending you, this is not the place for you.

We love the wings here. Always get them extra crispy and we’re never disappointed. This time we made an online order and it didn’t go so well. Wings were not ready for pick-up when promised and they said the order was not in their system. Showed the manager the order and confirmation we received by email. Even pulled up my Amex account and showed where the charge had gone through and posted. They would not honor the order until they contacted the owner and got their approval to proceed. Had to wait for that to occur before they would even begin cooking the wings. Finally got the owner’s permission to give us what we paid for and they started cooking. The manager said he didn’t know anything about the online ordering system as it was “pretty new”. Once I finally got the wings and arrived with them (late, of course), they weren’t even the correct flavors. (We purchased two 20 count wings platters.) By that point it was laughable as everyone was hungry and ready to eat. They were still good, just not the flavors we had asked for. We will still go to Moe and Joe’s for wings and beer, but will only dine in or order to go at the restaurant. Definitely will NOT be utilizing the online ordering system.

I’ve been coming to Moe’s & Joe’s for years, and it’s always been consistent. The drink deals are good, the wings always hit the spot, and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d want from a proper neighborhood dive. To the folks leaving bad reviews: if you’re showing up late night to a packed bar and expecting full-service restaurant treatment, you’re in the wrong place. This isn’t white tablecloth dining—it’s cheap beer, loud conversations, sticky floors, and solid bar food. And that’s exactly what we expect of it.
