I commissioned two mugs, and I am absolutely in love with them! You can see how incredible they look! Tatiana is so kind and thoughtful. She really takes the time to make sure you love your pieces from start to finish. I can’t wait to commission more things for my home! 🤍

Tatiana is the best! I did a 6 week private class with Tatiana (and her cute pottery dogs!) that prepared me to do ceramics in my home studio. She let me pick a project (we did plates) and throughout the 6 weeks she also taught me everything I needed to know about a home studio. I had done a group class a year before at a ceramics studio, but didn’t feel prepared to manage the prep, cleaning, and logistics of doing ceramics at home. Maura Pottery prepared me to know everything I needed about cleaning, what supplies to buy (and what I don’t need to buy as a beginner), and general tips and tricks about doing ceramics at home. We even made a damp box that I got to bring home! The 1:1 attention also helped me SO MUCH! I wasn’t that great at centering and throwing before, but Tatiana’s background in education also makes her an excellent teacher. I felt SO much more comfortable throwing on my own after my time with her.

Just finished the 6-week course and honestly loved it! Super detailed and easy to follow—she really walks you through everything you need to start doing pottery at home. From foundational techniques, throwing, glazing to practical tips for setting up your own space. I feel totally ready to keep going on my own now. Plus, she’s so lovely and patient! Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to get into pottery

Tatiana was very flexible when it came to working around my schedule! She helped me go from beginner to intermediate in just six classes. Her home is clean, her two dogs are super sweet and her husband is incredibly chill. She is not stingy about her time or her tools. As a teacher she's VERY patient and open to answering all your questions. She cares about working in a way that fits your needs and learning style. She always helped me work through my vision in my own way, only correcting me if there was an easier, better way of doing things, or if the technique could somehow harm the piece. - Natalí Fe

My 8yo daughter and I went to Tatiana's home studio to take an intro wheel throwing class and we both really loved it! My daughter is quite young for this but she was happy to teach her while I watched. She also let me try a couple times in between. I’ve done wheel throwing for a few years but have taken a long break since having kids so was thrilled to find a 1:1 teacher. Tatiana is a wonderful teacher and we can’t wait for our next sessions with her!
