I was disappointed this time around I was told mid shopping that you can not get above the bins in the basket. Meaning no food can go above it or pouring over. I didn’t know the policy changed as I wasn’t able yo get an appointment last month. The lady told me it was fine but I already felt bad making my grandson put food back. I live in lower Denver and this is a bit of a drive when I do not have funds for gas to get here and they are always out of bus tickets and all ride shares refuse to cover food bank trips. I truly can not spare the gas in the heat. The small amount of food on this trip due to the new policy that I missed the sign on the wall, its just not worth it to come back. It truly is not fair to limit those that understand the reasoning for the limits and yet there are foreigners that have the baskets over flowing and over 100lbs of food. I am forever greatful for the 3 times I was able to come. Our food insecurity is high but all the food banks go too far with all of the rules to the point I just can’t do it anymore. I’ll figure out some other way.
