The first time was with a band called ZERO STATE, the album was called SHADED, that was back in 2000 it was such a great experience, and the sound quality was incredible, that years later when I got into another band, I already knew where we needed to go and that was, with Larry, so, the band Tricus went to Minds Eye, to record a single, HH Holmes, the song turned better than we expected, that we decided to go back and record the full album Fate & Destiny, so we did....I knew when I had my own band, there was no question where we would go to record an album, and that was with Larry, so Mechanics Of The Mind, recorded RECKLESS & DIVIDED, at Minds Eye Digital, and the sound quality, the experience, the natural environment, and the energy there at Minds Eye, is and was down to earth, and just like every other time amazing! I will say there is not a better recording engineer, than the one that fully understands you, where your going with the song, or the concept of the album, or how it is put together, one that essentially becomes another member of the band for that period of time, there is no one better that can take your music, and elaborate on what you already have, than someone that you 100% get a long with, and can actually communicate those thoughts or decisions with. For me it has always been Larry Elyea! Do I see myself going anywhere else NO!!! Larry posses a skill where many recording engineers, and producers do not, and that one major skill, besides making every recording the best that it can be, based on the professionalism and ability of the musicians, is his people skills, Larry Rocks!
