Whaoo ...that's so sad....I attended the original and great College of Oceaneering when it was located in Los Angeles Bay...back in 2001 !!! When was considered the best commercial diving school in USA....the instructor are highly educated and the mayority retire from the NAVY...few years later was adquired by this University and open and additional facility in San Diego and after that they destroy all the reputation and legacy build for years by the College of Oceaneering where the reputation if the instructors are so high that 2 months before every class graduate ; the mayority of the students already have a secure job with a company ...they call the college every month asking for new hiring....I'm glad that I'm one of the Divers that had the privilege of graduated for the former College of Oceaneering ...

Attended this school when it was in Long Beach. Excellent program, easily allowed me to write my own ticket working offshore in the diving field. I had immediate job offers from every company that I applied to . Just remember that the offshore diving industry does not exist on the west coast. You have to go where the money is, Louisiana and Texas.

I attended this school shortly after I got out of the military with my GI bill. Do yourself a favor and go to real college. This place gives you a certificate that isn’t worth the paper it was printed on. Also the “instructors” are a joke. I litteraly had a instructor “Jackie” give me an air tank with no air! This place is a SCAM! And unsafe!
