I am an adult who has never taken art classes before and she created a welcoming and non-judgmental environment that invited me to explore my abilities where they are. She started by teaching me how to observe real objects and draw them, and added skills by teaching how to do shading, textures, and foreshortening. The way she builds on lessons feels very organic, which made it easy to piece together the different elements I learned with each new image I created.
