This is what I believe to be the best art school in Denver. I have been going for less than a year and I have learned everything to make drawing so much easier. Ali breaks everything down to simplify to process and make it fun to learn. Since I started I can’t get enough! This program takes you all the way through basic drawing to oil painting and sculpture. Supportive environment with great like-minded artists that you want to be around. They have options on their website for low income students.

I came without any knowledge of drawing. Ali taught me great techniques and methods, and I kept practicing what I learned from him. My friends and coworkers saw my works, and they were surprised by what I have achieved within a short amount of time. Ali is very generous, understanding and a great teacher. And everyone is also welcoming and amazing here. You can choose any days you want to come every week, and take classes at your own pace. Ali will teach and help right next you regardless of your skill level. There are still a lot to learn and I am excited to see how far I could go. I would highly recommend it!

I was impressed to learn there’s an academy in Denver dedicated to preserving the methods of the Renaissance masters of realism. I wish I had discovered this sooner. Ali is is a wonderful teacher. Kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and a good sense of humor. My skills have improved immensely in a short amount of time. I respect that the curriculum makes sure you have solid foundational skills before moving forward. It’s convenient that you can take classes at you own pace, and there are options to take classes on Saturdays and some evenings during the week, which is great for someone who works full time. There are also frequent workshops, guest speakers, and shared opportunities for events or calls for entry in different art shows. Everyone is very supportive and encouraging. Highly recommend.

If you have been looking for art classes or wanting to improve your skills as a professional artist I cannot recommend RAAC enough! You will learn to draw and paint (and sculpt) like the old masters. The school is Arc-Renewal certified (the highest level of realism training). Living master Ali is an amazing instructor. Best of all the school has all options for pt, ft eve and weekend hours. They also allow you to go at your own pace. It is fabulous!
