The sales team had just completed a beautiful new display of high-end handbags, and Misty approached me with perfect timing, asking if I’d like a closer look. Naturally, I said yes. We connected instantly. I shared with her that I’ve owned several YSL and Louboutin bags and had never seen such a selection at this location before. Our conversation flowed effortlessly, and it made my shopping experience that much more enjoyable. I ultimately purchased a stunning white Christian Louboutin handbag. Misty asked if she could stay in touch regarding future events or arrivals, and I happily agreed. I also mentioned I was looking for a specific belt featured in the Anniversary Sale book. While it turned out to be a misprint (the AllSaints belt was unavailable), another associate joined us and helped search online until we found what I was looking for. The collaboration was outstanding. Fast forward to the following week—Misty sent me a Nordstrom text message with screenshots of some newly arrived YSL bags. One caught my eye immediately: a gorgeous green bag. As a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated—the first sorority founded by African-American women in the United States—pink and green are especially meaningful to me. On Saturday, August 2, my husband and I returned to Nordstrom. I made my way back to the handbag section and asked to speak with Misty. Though she was with another customer, a different associate kindly helped me take a closer look at the green bag. Once Misty was available, she came right over, and we picked up right where we left off—chatting about the bag, its details, and how perfect it was. And yes, I bought it—two luxury bags in one week! Misty once again provided exceptional service: patient, knowledgeable, and proactive. When she needed help to complete the transaction, she quickly got the assistance required to make the process seamless. I will absolutely continue to ask for Misty whenever I shop at Nordstrom. She is a gem. And I must commend the entire handbag department—every associate I interacted with was professional and helpful. I had an absolutely disgusting experience at Nordstrom at city Creek. I was working with Liam and he was finding me Shirt sizes. When it came time to check out, right in the middle of ringing me up, and another associate, came over and grabbed him and pulled him over to a different register and had him ring up her clients. This was clearly a customer that was more important than myself. When he returned, I asked him what that was about. He told me it was complicated. I told him it wasn’t complicated to me! I let him know that it was bad behavior and I don’t Appreciate being treated like that! I let him know that nobody is more important than anybody else. And he just kept telling me it was complicated and I kept reminding him that it wasn’t complicated, And that it’s bad behavior. I told him he needs to tell his coworker that it’s not OK. He then told me not to make it an issue. I replied back That he and his coworker are the ones that made it an issue! It was clear that this is not just an employee Problem, but a management problem! I called and asked to speak to a manager. I was transferred to a department assistant manager. This person clearly didn’t have the capabilities of addressing the complaint. This is too management! You should be ashamed of yourselves and the culture you have created! No one is better than anyone else!! DO BETTER!

The experience was a bit different than Nordstrom in Murray. The same good services in both locations. Downtown Nordstrom, you're seated, and they'll take your order at your table. Whereas Nordstrom in Murray, you've to walk up to the cash register to order. The dinner in Murray was quite good. We enjoyed our dining experience. The appetizer in Nordstrom downtown was mediocre. The calamari was small, baby size squids. Once fried, textures were dried because of the pint size but it came with a dipping jalapeño creamy sauce. The waiter's service was attentative and pleasant. Because we had tickets to Justin Timberlake's concert that evening, we didn't stay long and skipped a full coarse dinner. I would still recommend Nordstrom for lunch-dinner. They've a menu that offers many choices to meet your needs, and their drinks are marvelous.

Our son was very excited about a purchase of a hoodie. It took a minute to flag down a cashier, and a staffer apologized and said they were working with a skeleton crew due to an upcoming sale. Then at the register, they told us that the hoodie on the rack couldn’t be purchased today; we’d have to come back another day because they were holding it back so it could be part of the sale. We’re from out of state, so we’ll have no chance to come back another day. No other solution was offered, even when we explained the situation; just… “Sorry that thing on the rack wasn’t there because it’s something we’re selling, it’s there for… reasons.” It would be nice if Nordstrom were still a high-end store that offered a premium experience. Unfortunately, at least here at City Creek, it’s far from that. UPDATE: Readers, this store makes a point of responding to each negative review with a statement expressing concern and regret. That’s nice and all, but I personally am more concerned with whether they do anything concrete to fix the issues identified by customers. As of right now, I can tell you they haven’t done anything concrete to fix my issue. I will update if that changes.

My family and I went there this past weekend for my birthday to do some shopping. I have to say the girls in the makeup and fragrance department were amazing. Just just lovely as well as in the women's clothing department. Very professional I was greeted as soon as I stepped into the department and was helped the whole time I've never had such a great experience at a retail store like I did.
