On my recent visit to Portland I knew I needed to visit at least one yarn shop, and this didn't disappoint. This is a yarn shop I would LOVE to have in my neighborhood. (Though my bank account would not love it.) Google maps took me here and I didn't want to leave! The staff was lovely, and the selection of yarn is impressive. The colors, the indie dyers, the aesthetic nature of the displays... All impeccably curated for the Dream Yarn Experience. I complimented one of the staff member's projects and she was kind enough to explain it wasn't easily available online. However, when I mentioned that I was new to crochet she recommended her pattern on Ravelry, "Cammie's Crash Course Blanket" & explained that it would help develop new skills. Having been a knitter for over 20 years now, this was impressive. I love seeing fiber artists and crafters bringing each other up. She didn't have to explain anything, or offer additional help, but it was kind and generous. I left with a lot of yarn and a new project bag, and they were super great. I now have plans to return again when I go back to Portland on another road trip. Worth a visit!

Absolutely amazing! Beautiful selection of yarns. But most importantly the staff is incredible. Spent an extraordinary amount of time helping me to decipher a very cryptic pattern. Now I’m well on my way to a beautiful throw blanket.

Very high on my list of favorite places. All sorts of fancy yarn, roving, patterns, and books. Classes, open spinning time ... What's not to love??
