Rachel did an amazing job on my hair, went in for a cut and highlights. My hair turned out so good she is going to be an awesome stylist. The price is very affordable for what you get also, what would have cost $300 or more at a normal salon was $82. I will definitely be returning for all of my beauty needs.

I’ve been coming to Portland Beauty School for my haircuts for a couple of years now. Some cuts have been better than others but I’ve never had a truly bad experience. But I’m moved to leave a review today because my cut this afternoon by student McKinley was OVER THE TOP GREAT!! She made sure that she understood exactly what I wanted. She didn’t try to bluff her way through. If she wasn’t sure how to handle a particular angle, she brought her supervisor over for guidance. When I wondered out loud if the top was short enough, she advised me that it was the right length to blend with the rest of the cut. I can’t say enough about this great experience. I FEEL CUTE TODAY! Believe me when I tell you at nearly 75 yrs old, that’s not an easy to come by!! Thanks McKinley and staff 🤣😆😁

I came in today for a partial highlight and the student who did my hair was a total sweetheart, she is very talented, has an amazing personality. 10/10! Keep up the good work, she has a VERY bright future! I believe her name was Shanna or Shannon.

I attended the esthetician program and thoroughly enjoyed it! The classes are tight knit and Jenny our teacher was very flexible if you needed one on one coaching. The program goes by very fast so make sure to take advantage of that time and learn as much as you can! There will be a lot of self study due to the short program and all of the hands on training you do during class. I would definitely recommend this to get your foot in the door/obtain your license. And continue your knowledge of services through jobs or certificate classes. Thank you PBS for being so kind and helping guide us to where we want to be!

Oof. Students are hard working and focused; I appreciate their efforts and that they are learning. Made an appt for highlights to blend out the roots on my previous highlight as i grow out full bleached hair. explained this several times. The instructor consult told the student I didn't know the right words and just do a full root lightening. Thinking I must have misunderstood, until the student went in with no foils and just did a root bleach. Another instructor was very proud of the toner used after this debacle but the hair I asked to be platinum is very definitely yellow. Showed multiple pics of shaggy contemporary pixies and ended up with a puffy "karen can I speak to the manager" cut. The instructors appear and smell to all smoke and it's really uncomfortable to be near. Students are trying their best but deserve modern informed instructors who collaborate with guests. Had to book somewhere else to retone and try to fix the dated cut.
