These days it's so hard to find thrift stores that don't price gouge like crazy. Out of the Closet is not one of them! I love this place so much, I come a few times a month just to see what they have since they seem to get new stuff almost everyday. And everytime I do come, I don't break the bank at all. Such a fun staple to our community and supports a great cause!

Really cute thrift store! I unfortunately didn't find anything to purchase this time but there is so much to check out. Asked staff for any local recommendations and they were super helpful and friendly! Worth checking out if you're in Capitol Hill

Beautiful hidden gem in the heart of Capitol Hill. This is a mandatory LGBTQIA+ stop. I have found beautiful one of a kind items here. Always a struggle to leave. What could be better - freedom and savings!

My wife liked a piece of jewelry in the case and we asked the employee twice if it was in decent condition. She stated it was and they don’t sell anything that is substandard or broken. So we paid 55$ dollars for it. We like to support this store because we hear that they do good things for the community. However we won’t be anymore. The item immediately fell apart at home when we tried to put it on her. I mean it was truly broken and they didn’t care. It’s one thing if we donate but if we’re purchasing something please don’t sell us things that are in awful condition. Even goodwill will take something back if it’s obviously broken. Not this business. They told us too bad. Must be nice.

I called to ask if I could drop off clothes donations I live in one bedroom apartment and erby or ebby man that answer the phone was completely rude says he's not interested in clothes I want to bring in because I ask if you're store was thriftstore I ask him numberous times why he's refusing my service he said to me it's sounds of my voice my clothes I want to be being in are filthy and nasty like what the heck kind of customer service is this I shopped at the store so many times was only checking if I could bring clothes in which I never have before only shopped there...ervy or erby was utterly rude to me on phone I'll be sharing with folks in Capitol Hill the experience I received on the phone and if I just called him back tonight to confirm what we talked about this morning I let him know about my disabilities it was a miscommunication but still his attitude and his words of choice are not customer service experience whether he's a manager or what position he is but telling somebody or asking if their clothes are dirty before you bring them in it's kind of telling somebody on the other side of the phone that they're dirty and and I do not recommend this place to anybody right now that I know very very discriminatory
