It's kind of pricey for not great quality clothing either used or new. I couldn't believe that used jeans shorts were $15. It's not a bargain for sure. There are some deals if you look at their sales. But You might be better off at the Goodwill or Salvation Army where you can get deals for $1-$10 typically on sale days. It's great to upcycle so please make it affordable upcycling. There is no parking so just park in the street or walk from CTA. Staff are nice and friendly. The coolest area. Very hip and in. The store does have some unique and fun stuff and costumes. It's a fun store!

Climbed the stairs only to learn that you had to hand over your purse/bag in order to enter. I didn’t have any real pockets on my clothes, so that would have meant leaving my phone and wallet unsecured in a random store. I didn’t think the risk was worth it just to look at people’s old clothes, so I went downstairs to the Brown Elephant instead. It’s a weird policy to have in a store that only sells old stuff, so I feel like they should put it on their website and or signage so people don’t bother if they’re not interested.

I highly recommend checking this place out! The clothing prices are crazy cheap, and they have a lot of unique products you won’t find anywhere else. Since it is low cost, don’t expect a nice changing room, but it’s definitely worth it.

I had been meaning to check out this thrift shop but given that it is down an alley I was waiting for a time where I could visit it during the day. It was my first time in there and I was immediately asked to hand over my purse. I understand why that might might be the business's policy but I would have loved for there to be signage beforehand so that I was prepared. Instead I was caught off guard by the staff member, and it felt accusatory, like I'd done something wrong by even entering. Had I known beforehand I would not have made the trek upstairs. I left without experiencing any part of the store. Looking at other lower star reviews this this has happened to other people. I just think additional signage would help especially since other thrift stores in the neighborhood don't have similar policies. It also would set me up for success if I ever do return, on knowing whether it was just because I was carrying a tote bag that day or if they take all purses. Overall not a super pleasant experience.

Around the corner from an awesome thrift store on Belmont. Yes, you have to climb stairs, and there is a sign on the entrance that says, "we still don't have a public bathroom." We found that humorous. They check your bags, but were very polite. We found 100% wool fishermen sweaters for $25 each, which is a great deal and we had fun looking at all the cool thrift items. This place is worth the stairs and alley entrance to find unique one of a kind pieces to add to your wardrobe.
