This is such a lovely little escape for flower-peeping and picnicking. Beautiful winding paths with Japanese maples, pitcher plants, and more. Even though I went when the hemerocallis flowers weren't in bloom, it was still great for a stroll. The garden also connects to trails throughout Jaycee Park. Docked one star because the gazebo needed a little TLC. I'm eager to come back when all the flowers have blossomed!

I came through the garden side by the offices with my kids. There was a nice garden but the kazebo was being used as a homeless encampment. The playground with the slides was nice but the smaller park adjacent looked like a Russian cold war abandoned sandbox.

What should you know about garden etiquette when visiting with your friends?

Running or allowing unattended children to roam is discouraged as it can unintentionally harm sensitive plants and disturb the peaceful environment. The garden welcomes gentle sensory experiences like touching or smelling the plants, which enriches your connection to the natural world, but visitors should refrain from taking any cuttings or seeds without permission. This policy helps conserve the plants, some of which may take years to mature or are part of rare collections. Seating is thoughtfully placed for relaxation, so groups can gather comfortably without crowding the pathways or flower beds. Following these guidelines shows respect for the garden’s mission and creates a positive experience for groups and solo visitors alike.
