Absolutely gorgeous! This is a beautifully landscaped garden with statues, fountains, and seating/picnic areas. Most of the azaleas were still in full bloom during my visit, though some were starting to wilt, so I think earlier in April is probably the sweet spot. There were several people having photos taken, and I think it would be the perfect place for special photos. There is plenty of parking, and the paths seemed manageable for people of all ages. The garden is much larger than I thought it would be, and really exceeded my expectations.

A few hours well spent at WRAL Azalea Garden. Beautifully maintained, with benches to sit and rest throughout the garden. Even if not all flowers are blooming or some are already done, it is still a beautiful sight. Came here a few years ago to take family pictures, and today, I just took a nice relaxing stroll with family coming in from out of town and out of the country. If you love nature, flowers, and a relaxing day, maybe reading a book on a bench, this is a place to go to.

I happened to come when nearly all the azaleas were past blooming. However, the gardens were still delightful with many other flowers in bloom and sculptural shrubs and trees of many kinds. Plus, the pathways are shaded by towering trees in many areas. This is very important in the heat of a southern state in late spring. I will certainly return in different seasons.

This was the second week of April 2025. Lots of free parking. Very beautiful. It was busy but the size of the place made it not feel crowded. There are restrooms. They are constructing another portion which is going to make this place even better.
