I usually order from REI's online store. This time I was on a business trip to Manhattan and near SOHO. I had some free time, so I came to visit it. I have not been to other REI branches. But I think the space in this store is very large. There are stairs connecting floors. There are many kinds of products. You can try them on and confirm whether the functions of the products are as expected. This is something you can't experience when shopping online. There is a toilet (women's toilet) on the basement floor. The men's toilet cannot be used.

Maybe it’s the New York factor, but everything felt noticeably more expensive than what you’d find online or in other stores. I didn’t find anything particularly exciting this time, but if you need good gear and want to see it in person, this is a reliable place to go. Just be prepared to pay a premium for the convenience and selection.
