My kiddo loved so many of the workshops & even the remotely-taught classes that he took from the comfort of our home using a simple internet connection and an App to learn, things like, "how-to develop your own video game on your smartphone", and "How to start your own fruit and/or vegetable garden" which was taught virtually online however we did have to pickup a complimentary packet of seeds from the Library location beforehand to follow-along, etc... and the classes are ALL FREE! It was especially amazing to have these virtual classes around when the pandemic first hit our area in 2020 and nobody was allowed to leave home unless-if necessary. It kept our kids preoccupied during an unprecedented time of uncertainty, and they also have classes that are enjoyable to adults too!

Update (April 2022) Stopped by this location today and was happy to see that there’s been a lot of progress in recovery from flood and getting books restocked. Found several books to check out. Also great experience with librarians there today, overall much better experience than before. (Original review) New Dallas Library cardholder. Like that this location is close to me, but was disappointed to find it is quite empty/low on books and a but disorganized. However I found out that it is due to this location losing a lot of books when a pipe burst during last years’ winter storm. Replacing books takes a long time, so I am much more understanding of the situation now and giving it 4 stars instead of a much lower rating. Hoping they can get books replaced quickly. For now, though, it is not the best location if you are looking to actually browse through the books or find something on the spot. Editing to add: Looking forward for when they do their grand re-opening but glad they are still keeping doors open for the community in the mean time.

Very clean and organized, BUT, they have a weird concept where they let kids be as loud as they can and play like if it’s an outside playground so it ruins the quietness and peacefulness of a library. I have been here 5 times and all the times there are kids running around and throwing objects at all times so I will be looking for a new library.

This library was good, it had a pretty open layout but the lighting could be better. It was a cloudy day so not much natural light was available and when walking in the aisle’s weren’t as bright, you can still see everything but it was noticeably a few tints darker. They have a small kid area with lots of toys that seem to be from Ikea so kids will be able to enjoy an assortment of toys there.
