I attended the first Hot Shop Workshop in a beautiful Chicago glass blowing studio (Ignite Glass). The light was gorgeous and a bit challenging - Nick prepared everyone in advance and was there to help/teach/coach! KUDOS to Nick Sinnott and the Richard Stromberg's Chicago Photography Classes for continuing to find exciting/novel photo opportunities for students. The artists at Ignite Glass were fantastic - welcoming us into their space and enabling us to create interesting images. Highly recommend the school and the Hot Shop Workshop! Whether you're a newbie unsure the difference between an ISO and an f-stop or an advanced photographer - they have something for you!

I love taking courses at CPC! They do a terrific job at supporting a diverse variety of students who have different goals for their own photography. I have been able to improve my skills from taking ‘nice pictures’ to huge printed portraits and sports action shots that are now displayed in my friends’ homes. They’ve helped me take something that’s always been fun and turn it into a way to serve my community of athletes and our local school.

I am very happy with the knowledge gained from the iPhone photography class. I have an okay eye as I went to school for art, but lack(ed) the technical knowledge of all of the device's photography features and do not - or rather did not - know a damn thing about lenses, long exposures, or anything like that as I don't have a background in photography. This class was the perfect level-up for me. I now have enough knowledge to be able to intentionally edit photos taken before the class and have a lot of very specific ideas to put into place moving forward. Also, while you certainly are able to find less-expensive prepackaged self-paced classes online, or even free tips on like YouTube, until yesterday I felt like was I was in a kind of don't-even-know-what-I don't-know situation and that I would not have really been able to properly absorb random self-paced study in any kind of efficient way. I highly recommend committing to this live class as you will definitely get what you need in a progressive and organized manner. You've already made the bulk of your investment by purchasing a not-cheap iPhone - take this class and make that previous investment work better for you.

My experience with instructor Vanessa was exceptional. She did an excellent job teaching me how to use a professional grade Nikon that I inherited and knew nothing about. I left our session excited and ready to enjoy my new camera. Vanessa was patient and thorough. I highly recommend taking a class.

Very informative class, our instructor Chris even stayed a few minutes late to help me figure out the settings on my Fujifilm camera. Hoping to enroll in Photo 1– probably in the fall when things settle down. Really appreciate this class being offered for such an affordable price!!! Thanks again 📸
